Evidence-Based Implant Treatment PlanningImplant restoration of the partially and completely edentulous patent has become increasingly more prevalent. However, despite relatively high implant survival rates, patients are not always completely satisfied with the result. This presentation will review evidence-based differential implant treatment planning In order to address clinician- and patient-based concerns. The benefit/risk calculus of alternative prosthetic designs including conventional rehabilitation will serve as a basis for a comprehensive informed consent for the patient and offer a more predictable algorithm for the practitioner. The importance of a team approach will be emphasized. |
