How To Check the Date of the Wireless Driver

In order to be able to access the wireless network on campus or anywhere else, it is important that you ensure that you have the most recent wireless driver updates.

You can check your driver date by doing the following:

1. Click StartConnect To then click on Show all connections
2. You should see an icon titled Wireless Network ConnectionDell Wireless 1490 Dual Band WLAN Mini-card
3. Right-click on the Wireless Network Connection
4. Click on Properties
5. While on the General tab of the opened window, you should see on the upper portion of the window "Connect using
6. Click the ConfigureDriver

If the date is earlier than 2006, you should update your wireless card driver.
