It was my privilege to welcome you into the patient-care phase of your educational program through the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry's White Coat Ceremony.
The White Coat Ceremony is a significant event emphasizing your responsibility to your patients and the community. I was delighted to see the members of the DDS Class of 2012, the IDS Class of 2012, and the Dental Hygiene Class of 2011 wear the white coat for the first time and recite and accept the professional oath; a special and wonderful moment in your lives.
As I said during the ceremony, the faculty and staff of the Dugoni School are extremely proud of you. We will continue to guide you as you become a competent and caring member of the dental health care profession. You should also take Pride in yourself, your school, and your new profession.
Please click the links below to find copies of the presentations made at the White Coat Ceremony, and the link at the bottom of the page for the pictures taken at the event. I hope you enjoyed the ceremony.
I wish you the greatest success as you continue your journey toward becoming a caring health care professional.
