White Coat Ceremony 2011

Students recite the oath at the 2011 White Coat Ceremony.

Welcome to DDS and IDS 2013, Dental Hygiene 2012

It was indeed a privilege and a pleasure to have had the opportunity to welcome you into the patient-care phase of your educational program through the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry's White Coat Ceremony.

The White Coat Ceremony is a significant event, emphasizing the values of integrity, ethical behavior, respect for patients, and your responsibility to the community. I was pleased to see the members of the DDS Class of 2013, the IDS Class of 2013, and the Dental Hygiene Class of 2012 wear the white coat for the first time and recite and accept the professional oath; a special and wonderful moment in your lives.

The faculty and staff of the Dugoni School are extremely proud of you. They will continue to guide you as you become a competent and caring member of the dental health care profession.

You can now view pictures taken at the White Coat Ceremony and copies of the presentations made at the event. I hope you enjoyed the ceremony.

I wish you the greatest success as you continue your journey toward becoming a caring health care professional.
