



The Pacific Center for Orofacial Disorders is a specialized faculty practice medical/dental service, offering diagnosis, referral and treatment for jaw-related pain and dysfunction. Patients' symptoms include jaw-area pain, obstructive breathing problems, excessive or limited jaw function, headaches, hearing loss, ear pain/ringing/ blockage, balance issues, speech and chewing and swallowing difficulties, upper gastrointestinal problems, daytime fatigue and cognitive issues. Faculty experts have advanced training and experience in all aspects of jaw-area pain and dysfunction. Faculty members provide comprehensive evaluations of the head and neck using the latest technology and testing procedures. The center utilizes iCAT and MRI imaging, magnetic jaw tracking, electromyography, sonography and sleep studies supporting clinical impressions. If necessary, we will suggest referrals to other medical specialists. Treatment could include oral postural appliances, medication, behavior modification and physical medicine. Dental specialists in oral surgery, orthodontics and prosthodontics are also available for consultation and treatment.
This is a faculty-run center with fees comparable to other professional centers. The initial examination fee is $400. Additional diagnostic services are charged separately. Payments are due at the time of each visit. Services are billed under medical insurance plans. Insurance paperwork can be filled out for your convenience. Patients are advised to bring all related medical information to the initial visit. We accept major credit cards.

How to Get to Pacific >>
Pacific Center patients may self-refer or be referred from private practice and hospital-based dental and medical professionals. All patients are seen by appointment only. Please contact the Pacific Center at 415.929.6611 to schedule an appointment. Friendly staff provides patients with information to make their visit a satisfying experience.
Patients will receive a comprehensive evaluation by a specialist in orofacial disorders. Please allow approximately one hour for this visit. Based on the findings from that visit, the doctor will order appropriate tests/studies and make any necessary referrals. Prior to initiating treatment, information from the initial examination, referrals and testing will be reviewed with the patient.
