Our faculty members are leaders in dental education who help mold the next generation of dentists. Although their focus is training oral healthcare providers for clinical practice, they also conduct research in a variety of areas, from behavioral science to cutting-edge treatment techniques.
Due to the efforts of our faculty members, the dental school continues to attract more funded research projects than any other unit in the University of the Pacific. Our school has conducted clinical research for several businesses and foundations, including Block Drug, Biolase Technologies, Colgate-Palmolive, DENTSPLY International, Oral B, Procter & Gamble and Sonicare. Major breakthroughs include clinical research on Invisalign®, the invisible braces for adults and teenagers created by Align Technology.
