University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry has named David Rosselli as the school's assistant dean of development.

In his new position, Rosselli will be responsible for all areas of fundraising for the dental school, including the Dean's Fund for Excellence, major and planned gifts, annual giving and advancement events. He will work closely with the school's Department of Institutional Advancement along with Dr. Patrick J. Ferrillo, Jr., interim provost for University of the Pacific, and Dr. Craig Yarborough, executive associate dean, to ensure that the dental school has the resources it needs to realize its vision and goals. In addition, Rosselli will serve as the executive director of the Pacific Dugoni Foundation, the school's volunteer fundraising board.

Rosselli joins the dental school with more than 17 years of experience in advancement and education at a variety of distinguished Bay Area universities. Throughout his career, he has planned, led and executed fundraising efforts that have raised more than $900 million.

Most recently, he served as associate athletic director for development-external relations at University of California, Berkeley. Prior to that role, he held the position of associate athletic director for development at Santa Clara University.

Rosselli's new position at the dental school serves as his return to the University of the Pacific community - he previously spearheaded development and fundraising efforts as director of development for Pacific's School of Engineering & Computer Science, and as director of development for Pacific's Eberhardt School of Business. Rosselli holds both an M.A. and B.A. degree from University of the Pacific.

"Dave has tremendous experience and will play an important role in providing additional resources to further the school's commitment to quality education, patient care, research and community involvement," said Ferrillo. "We're excited he has re-joined the Pacific family and look forward to his leadership and close involvement in our development efforts."
