Dr. Alan H. Gluskin, professor and chair of the Department of Endodontics at the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, was recently elected to the American Association of Endodontists (AAE) Board of Directors. He will represent AAE District VII, which encompasses all of California.
In his new role, Gluskin will work with fellow board members from throughout the United States on association policy decisions. He joins Dr. Fred Tsutsui, who also represents District VII on the board.
"I am truly delighted to have been selected as one of two district representatives from California to serve on the Board of Directors of the American Association of Endodontists for the next three years," said Gluskin. "The Board represents the governing body of our specialty and determines policy and strategic initiatives for the specialty in the areas of research, education and private practice."
Gluskin has held the position of professor and chair of the Department of Endodontics at the dental school since 1990. Since becoming an AAE member in 1974, he has served the organization by volunteering on the Annual Session Planning Committee - which he chaired in 2009-2010 - among other roles.
"I have formerly served on the Educational Affairs Committee, Research and Scientific Affairs Committee and as chair of the Annual Session Planning Committee for the AAE," Gluskin added. "This singular honor allows me to help determine the future course and direction of the specialty to which I have dedicated so much of my professional service in recent years."
