Dr. Mark Feldman, interim executive director of the American Dental Association, will deliver the commencement address during the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry's 114th commencement ceremony on June 15 at the Nob Hill Masonic Center.
Feldman previously served as president of the ADA and was the first treasurer to be elected by the ADA House of Delegates, the organization's legislative and governing body. Working as the link between the House of Delegates, the Board of Trustees and the new executive staff, Feldman was able to streamline the reporting of the ADA's financial affairs to the membership.
His other previous responsibilities with the ADA include serving chair of the Council on Insurance and many years representing New York in the House of Delegates. He was also president of both the New York State Dental Association and the Nassau County Dental Association. He has spent more than 30 years in leadership positions within the dental profession.
Feldman received his dental degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and completed his specialty training in endodontics at Nassau County Medical Center. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics as well as a member of all the International and American Colleges of Dentistry.
