Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry faculty member Dr. Ove Peters was recently honored by the French Society of Endodontics with the prestigious International Louis I. Grossman Award. The award recognizes Peters’ contributions to the field of endodontics and his numerous research efforts.
The French Society of Endodontics’ International Louis I. Grossman award is given annually to an international endodontist for significant research efforts. This year it was awarded during the Society’s reception held during the Annual Session of the American Association of Endodontics (AAE), which took place in Honolulu, Hawaii.
“It is a great honor to be acknowledged by my peers and friends at the French Society of Endodontics,” said Peters. “Obviously all research is based on a team effort and so this award goes as much to my collaborators as it went to me.”
Peters is the co-chair of the Department of Endodontics and director of endodontic research at the Dugoni School of Dentistry. He has published extensively on various subjects of clinical endodontics; is the author of more than one hundred scientific papers and abstracts; and has presented numerous lectures nationally and internationally.
