The dental school's Report to Investors won "Best of Show" as well as a gold award.

February  26, 2009

The Higher Education Marketing Report honored University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry's Design and Photo creative team with three design awards in its 24th Annual Admissions Advertising Awards competition. The dental school publications were among 2,000 entries received from more than 1,000 colleges, universities and secondary schools from all 50 states and several foreign countries.

"We are pretty proud of our awards, especially the 'Best of Show,'" said Joan Yokom, director of design and photo services. "We were happy to be acknowledged in a group that includes Harvard, Stanford, University of Chicago and Georgia Tech among others. Most of the winning institutions used outside agencies to design their pieces. We cheered, had a group hug and now we're back to work."

Silver award winners

These two Design and Photo projects won silver awards.

The Dugoni School's 2008 Report to Investors was one of only 16 publications recognized by the judges as "Best of Show." These entries exhibited the highest production standards, creativity and professionalism. Pacific also received a gold award for the Report to Investors, and silver awards for the Continuing Education Catalog (November 2008) and 2008 CHIPS Yearbook.

The Admissions Advertising Awards is the largest educational advertising competition in the country. The entries were judged by a national panel of admissions marketers, creative directors, marketing and advertising professionals and the editorial board of Higher Education Marketing Report.
