How to Become a patient
Who: Any person age 14 or older. For people younger than 14, please contact
our Pediatric Clinic at (415) 929-6550 to schedule an appointment.
Where: Come register as a new patient at the information desk on Level C (enter through our Sacramento Street entrance between Webster and Fillmore Streets in Pacific Heights.) During your first visit, we will take preliminary x-rays and then a faculty member will explain how our clinic operates and discuss your dental needs. We will then make a follow-up appointment for a comprehensive set of x-rays. After the x-rays, we will proceed to assign a student dentist for your continued care.
When: New patients are seen on a first-come, first-served
basis. We encourage new patients to arrive at our Main Clinic on Level C for their first
visit Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. or 1:30
p.m. After your first visit, all other visits to the Main Clinic are by appointment only.
Morning, afternoon and evening appointments (Monday & Thursday evenings) are available
for your convenience.
New patients at all other clinics (pediatric,
orthodontics, etc.) are by appointment only. Please contact each of our specialty clinics
directly.
