The Institute of Dental History and Craniofacial Study houses a large collection (over 1400) of human skulls, the S.R. Atkinson Library of Applied Anatomy, available for study upon request. The sample includes a well-preserved age graded series of over four hundred juvenile specimens ranging from fetal to early adulthood. Examples of pathological conditions such as hydrocephaly, microcephaly, cranial dysostoses, and cleft palate can be found in the collection.
