Student Health and Disability Insurance

All enrolled students and residents participate in mandatory medical insurance program (Blue Cross of California through TDIC Financial & Insurance Services )  and a Student Long-Term Disability Policy selected by the School of Dentistry. No student is exempt from participation in these programs. Insurance premiums are assessed with tuition and other fees. Please keep in mind that while students are automatically enrolled, family coverage for health insurance only becomes effective upon approval of the application on the date specified by the Insurance Company subject to payment of the required premium.

UCSF Urgent Care (415) 353-2602  400 Parnassus Ave. Hours M-F 8:00am - 7:00pm; Sat 8am - 2pm The Urgent care site will only see drop-in/urgent situations. If one wants a true physician referral, thye should call the referral number.
