The University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry family honored and celebrated with the 200-plus members of the Class of 2016 during commencement weekend activities held June 10-12. Events held throughout San Francisco marked the graduates' successful completion of a rigorous program of dental study and clinical practice.

DDS and IDS valedictorians Dr. Grace Lan and Dr. Saif Isaac also addressed the audience and reflected on their experiences at the Dugoni School.
On Friday, June 10 the Dugoni School Alumni Association welcomed the newest alumni into their ranks during a festive, black-tie event. Held at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, the event hosted nearly 300 guests who enjoyed cocktails, dinner, awards and dancing. It is one of the last opportunities for the graduating students to gather as a class before commencement.
A celebration of all-around achievement, the dinner included an awards ceremony recognizing students for excellence in scholarship, leadership and community service. Student leaders addressed their classmates and recognized faculty and staff with awards voted on by the Class of 2016. Class leaders presented a generous class gift of $72,000 to the school, representing donations from 92 percent of the graduating class.
