Bill Maxwell will be talking about his new book, Booklegger: Anecdotal Recollections of a Skid Row Bookseller that recounts Maxwell’s professional bookselling career through multiple store locations amidst a slew of local and extraordinary characters.

Maxwell, a 4th generation Stocktonian and longtime owner of Maxwell’s Bookmark on Pacific Avenue, has been the Archives Manager of the Bank of Stockton’s Historical Photograph Collection and bank archives for over 20 years. He continues to sell used and rare books online and at antiquarian book fairs around the state.

His book will be available for sale and signing.
