Dr. Xiao joined the Dugoni School of Dentistry as an assistant professor in 2014. She received the postdoctoral training at the Department of Oral Biology, School of Dentistry, UCLA and Department of Radiation Oncology, Stanford University. Her research focuses on the stem cell biology and tissue regeneration. She has received external grant support from National Institute of Health and Biosciences Company as Principal Investigator since joining in the faculty team at the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. She served as a member of the World Federation of Orthodontics, Chinese Orthodontic Society, American Association of Cancer Research and the International Society for Stem Cell Research.
Dr. Xiao's research interest is investigating the stem cell mediated tissue regeneration, understanding the molecular pathways in the process, and translating the research into clinical practice. She is on the editorial board of several journals reporting dental sciences and biomedical sciences discoveries.
