The Office of Academic Affairs strives to create a dynamic teaching and learning culture in support of the school’s Strategic Plan and to foster the development of student competency to begin the independent practice of general dentistry. Academic Affairs supports faculty and curricular advances by providing high-level instructional design services and targeted faculty development opportunities; engaging faculty and department chairs in the ongoing development of the predoctoral program; and tracking and distributing educational and other quality measures for use in assessing the school’s performance. OAA also provides personal and academic counseling for students as needed, including referral to in-house experts, and manages commencement activities at the end of the program.
